Our Strategic Consulting team in the Middle East continue to lead the market in sustainability, asset management, digital and transaction advisory services. As we continue to advance service offerings to our clients, we have a ‘cross-sector’ team of specialists whose objective is to work with our clients to help improve asset management and decision-making in their organizations and we are seeking a Director of Asset Manager to oversee this business stream.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to manage a team and work with management and staff within clients to drive strategic change and approaches to decision making that ultimately will improve their level of service to their customer, operation of assets and bottom-line performance.

You will lead a team that will bring a combination of data driven advisory, business strategy and in-depth infrastructure/engineering knowledge to the table. You will have the freedom to provide bespoke solutions to clients across most asset classes that include water, transportation, buildings and municipal asset markets. You will be working with the Regional Manager of the Strategic Consulting Business and have the opportunity to develop and grow the Asset Management presence and market share across the Middle East. You will lead the Asset Management team for the region in a ‘seller-doer’ capacity. You will be responsible for identifying growth and business opportunities, developing the strategy and mentoring the team to deliver the exciting pipeline of work. You will be responsible for delivering projects focused on improving the management of infrastructure assets, developing and implementing data driven asset information strategies, implementing internationally accredited based standards such as ISO 55001 and transformational change within client organizations. You will be working with senior staff in client organizations, at times working remotely or embedded in client offices, and representing Jacobs in a professional capacity in what is an outward facing role.

In addition, your duties will be to:

• “Seller-Doer” – Developing and maintaining internal and external client networks and serving as a primary contributor during client meetings and presentations

Sales and Growth:

• Identifying business opportunities, directing growth and strategic planning for the team

• Establish and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

• Initiative, preparing and reviewing proposals and participating in interviews in response to RFPs and RFQs

Project Delivery:

• Ensuring obligations of the agreement between Client and Company are fulfilled

• Securing, assigning and maintaining a project team containing all the resources required to successfully deliver projects while maintaining quality

• Developing and leading data and systems solutions to improve the operational strategy and integration of physical infrastructure assets

• Developing and leading solutions to establish data-led asset information systems and platforms

• Leading and implementing assessments against the international standards, ISO55001

• Leading clients through the development and implementation of core asset management processes such as policy, strategy, levels of service, risk management, investment prioritization, lifecycle analysis, operating procedures, risk and mitigation strategies

• Leading client staff through the development of business cases models including whole life cost models, Triple Bottom Line and other decision-making methods

• Leading the team to conduct financial service studies including asset valuations, financial plans and the financial aspects of asset management studies

• Developing tactical and strategic capital investment programs, including Strategic Asset Management Plans

Coaching and Mentoring:

• Leading and mentoring project team members and thereby creating a positive team working environment

Here’s What You’ll Need:

As a successful candidate you will have a degree in Engineering, business, technology or finance and MBA is advantageous. You will also possess: –

• Extensive experience in the delivery of Asset Management Projects, with a track record of proven success in project management in a consultancy organization

• Experience in programming and data analysis skills

• The ability to manage technical teams, particularly with core asset management concepts, data analytics, data and asset information engineering

• Exceptional written, verbal and interpersonal skills are required

• The ability to perform in fast-paced, multi-tasking team environments is critical

• Working knowledge of office tools including MS-Visio, MS-Project, and all other MS-Office suite of applications

• Working knowledge of data analytics tools such as Power-BI

• In-depth appreciation of asset management methodologies, particularly familiarity with the ISO55000 suite of documents

• Institute of Asset Management (IAM) or equivalent certification

Previous experience within the Middle East or international consulting industry would be highly regarded.
