Job Title: Manager – Financial Reporting Division: ACCOUNTS (Finance and Payroll) Country: UNITED ARAB EMIRATES Work Location: UAE (RAK head office) Job Type: Manager – Financial Reporting Employment Type: Full Time Employment (Un-limited Contract) Job Description: Purpose: The Manager – Financial Reporting will be responsible for Julphar Consolidation process as well as prepare ‎accurate consolidated financial information (quarterly and annually). The role holder expected to lead the ‎standardization and harmonization of Julphar Financial Reporting and report and advice Julphar management on ‎financial reporting standards and ensures group tax optimization.‎ The Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for preparation and distribution of various internal financial ‎statements to management, maintenance of the organization’s general ledger, and ensuring that all transactions ‎and documentation complies with US GAAP and IAS.‎ The incumbent in order to succeed in this position, must demonstrate an aptitude for efficiency, problem-solving, ‎and resourcefulness, with a deep commitment to the bottom line without compromising quality.‎ Key responsibilities & Accountability: Business Leadership • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements in accordance with IFRS ‎regulations and other local regulations applicable for the group’s activities • Preparing documents, verifying their accuracy, and collaborating with the accounting department and legal ‎team to ensure compliance with all financial regulations.‎ • Liaises with subsidiaries to obtain timely and accurate financial information in accordance with IFRS • Coordinates between external auditors and management team to ensure smooth year end audits and ‎quarterly reviews • The Financial Reporting Manager facilitates the entire process of preparing important reports and earnings ‎statements, particularly for the SEC, by gathering and documenting data and reviewing reports for regulatory ‎compliance. ‎ • Must standardize the reporting process while also working to improve and streamline it.‎ • Responsible for the follow-up internal audit report and ensure timely implementation of internal audit ‎recommendations • Interact with Internal Audit department (IA), cooperate with IA on audit requirements and proactively ‎improve internal control processes and risk reporting to avoid unexpected risk exposure and impact on ‎company’s financial results • Advises management on key IFRS issues including provisions for receivables, inventories subsidiaries ‎accounting etc.‎ • Reviews all Tax topics and challenge subsidiaries to optimize Tax situation • Prepares presentations to the board and audit committee and working closely with the senior leadership ‎team.‎ • Calculates and manages commission accounts (Lebanon, Ethiopia, Algeria, Qatar).‎ • Manage the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the ‎highest quality, reliability and accuracy.‎ • Manage monthly closing process, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.‎ • Coordinate the Company’s annual audit with the independent auditors.‎ • Develop and maintain the integrity of the financial reporting process and financial controls.‎ • Coordinate, develop and update written policies and procedures over the financial reporting process.‎ • Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting.‎ • Research and resolve accounting issues including evaluation and implementation of new accounting ‎pronouncements to ensure US GAAP and IAS compliance.‎ Qualifications: – Education • ‎4 years Bachelor’s Degree / Master’s degree in Finance/ Operation /Statistics/Accounting is mandatory • MBA– Master’s in business administration (Banking & Finance).‎ • Member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) or Association of Chartered ‎Certified Accountants (ACCA)‎ – Experience: • Strong accounting and financial reporting experience • At least 10+ years’ experience in Finance and Reporting function in a similar role within a multinational • Experience in Big 4 accounting firm audit engagements preferred – Training: Key Competencies: • In terms of competency you are highly result oriented with strong sense of accountability & ownership.‎ • Having an Analytical mind with ability to think diversely and understand the big picture of the Organization ‎and its core strategies to transform the very practice and culture of Julphar • You must have excellent understanding of Pharmaceutical Business and Strategic Planning skills for ‎diversified Project Management experience coupled with strong influencing skills.‎ • Strong communication, interpersonal, and decision skills required • Must have a solution centric mind to understand issues and solve them within a stipulated time frame, ‎ability to understand new issues quickly and make wise decisions. ‎ • Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
