JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE
  • To provide support to BGC Materials Management team mainly for SAP Cataloguing, Material Standardisation, Stock replenishment, Inventory control, BOM/E-SPIR and Surplus Materials management.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
 
  • Maintain MRP/Inventory parameters in SAP in the most efficient and cost-effective manner by ensuring the availability of agreed materials to meet operational requirement.
  • Ensure timely replenishment of inventory materials. Liaises with the Buyers, Maintenance coordinators, Technical Authorities (TA) and expediters to ensure that accurate status on all orders is available
  • Ensure transparency of all available stock, project and surplus materials to maximize usage of existing materials and reduce ordering.
  • Responsible for SAP coding activities and Master data maintenance
  • Perform, monitor and control the activities towards Cataloguing of SPF (Stock Proposal Forms) and SPIR (Spare Parts Interchangeability Records) items in the Material Master Data to provide high quality, Standardized, comprehensive purchasing specifications
  • Ensure Material Master are classified with international standards API, ASME, ISA, NEMA, IEEE, IEC, NFPA, BASEEFA, ATEX, ANSI, ASTM, TEMA, BS and related codes & statutory regulations
  • Ensure compliance to Shell Group Big Rules and verification of the Material Master data for completeness and accuracy
  • Support CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) project and monitor the MIE’s demands supply process
  • Support collaboratively, complete Inventory reviews for E-SPIR and select optimum sparing levels for the supply chain, considering all elements and maintenance advisor input
  • Manage SAP VPS process and Surplus stock management – Cataloguing, Inventorisation, Transfers and Reconciliation
  • Analyse and report Non-Moved & Obsolete materials and preparing write off with proper disposal methods.
  • Support the Supply Agreement team by providing Order Analysis, Spend and Catalogue standardization data
  • Timely update of Material Master PO Text for PO accuracy and completeness
  • Support to resolve the Inward Material Discrepancies identified in OSDR Report and improve the POT (Payment on Time) for critical vendors
  • Liaise with Freight Forwarder, GR Processer, RtP, Buyers and Accounts Payable team to resolve any discrepancies and ensure timely processing of GR and IR
  • Support Inventory related Business Improvement and Special Projects

  • Level of SAP Data reliability and Master data accuracy
  • % of SAP coded items used in Maintenance and project orders
  • Number of days taken to identify, analyse & initiate replenishment for stock materials
  • Number of days taken to process the stock proposal requests

JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
A Degree in any Engineering or Technical discipline.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in material management with at least 3 years in SAP cataloguing, Standardisation, Inventory Analysis and Material controlling in a reputable Oil & Gas company.
  • Strong SAP MM skills and Materials knowledge is required.

PRIMARY WORK LOCATION
Primary work location is Dubai and occasional business trips to Iraq
